Our charming family home is in the perfect location on this stunning Hebridean island. Driving up the track, Ainshval comes into view and it is a vista you will never tire of. The house has panoramic views of the Outer Hebrides from Barra Head to South Uist, and Inner Hebrides of Canna, Skye, Rum, and Eigg. It is surrounded by machair, covered in buttercups and clover, and in the springtime the lambs are plentiful. From the house, a few minutes walk takes you to a lovely bay where you will see seals in abundance. It’s a perfect spot for a beach BBQ on the rocks on a summer's evening listening to the seals singing (big bonus - no midges!). A short walk in the opposite direction will take you to the stunning beach known locally as The Green. It is not unusual to have the whole beach to yourself!
In the summer time, weather permitting, you will witness the most amazing sunsets and perhaps set your alarm to see the sunrise. Mid summer, the sun rises behind Rum.
